I was inspired by a unit in my Grade 11 English class where we read the play Pygmalion and watched the film adaptation My Fair Lady. I was looking for extra classes in my first year of Computer Science and chose the Introduction to Linguistics course out of curiosity. I ended up loving it from the start and was so enthusiastic to learn about it. I loved searching for the patterns and learning about the inner workings of how we use language.
